About Carrot Cultivation :

 Best grown in deep, fine, loose soil. In early spring to early summer, direct sow 1/4-1/2" deep, 1" apart in a raised ridge row or band. Do not let soil crust over until seedlings emerge, up to 14 days.  Thin to 1-2" apart after they come up.

Danvers 1/2 Long Carrot
75 days. Two inch diameter roots are often 9 inches long. Very fragrant, sweet and crunchy. Bright orange. Originated among market gardeners near Danvers, Massachusetts in 1871.   (Heirloom)
