We are all only human and have emotions when we react to various situations in which we often find ourselves. I can assure you that there will be many occasions when playing poker that your inner feelings – your emotions – will be tested.
Often times, you will feel really frustrated! It’s natural to ponder: “I wish I had stayed to see the next card that would be dealt on the board” – even when you know you played the right hand based on everything you’ve learned about the game, including odds and the law of probability.
Another night, playing the $ 4- $ 8 limit at my favorite local casino, I had a hand that pissed me off – to say the least, very frustrated – after I mopped my cards. In the middle position, I saw a pair of deuces on the hole – deuces pocket. Having studied the Hold’em Algorithm visit dewa poker, there is no question that this is not a hand where I would like to invest my hard-earned chips from a middle position. I’m ready to fold when the stakes get to me.
Then, there was a raise by the player to my right. That further confirmed my decision to resign. And so, I did it right away without hesitation, and sat down to watch the action – to see how the hand would come out. Then, The back button is raised, further reinforcing my decision to fold my little pocket pair from the center position. GOOD.
You will never guess what fell on the flop: 2c-2h-Ac. I’ll catch quad deuces! Without a doubt, I will make nuts. “Oh, my,” I muttered quietly to myself. Then, thinking of all the chips I could win, my emotions got the best of me. I was furious – almost angry. I feel very frustrated emotionally. And, I cursed myself, “Why don’t I stay to see failure?” I feel like calling myself an idiot.
